Pure Michigan Talent Connect is the State of Michigan's web-based talent matchmaking site. It features information and resources that gives businesses the tools necessary to help identify and develop their talent base and job seekers the ability to search for new jobs and careers.

Anyone who is looking for work, or planning their career should visit Pure Michigan Talent Connect at www.MiTalent.org. The site includes the Michigan Talent Bank, the Michigan Job Portal, and information on careers fairs and hiring events throughout the state.

Unemployment insurance claimants without a definite call-back date must register for work by posting their resume on the Michigan Talent Bank and must have their registration verified by  Michigan Works. Executive, professional and technical job seekers may also want to post their resume at the Pure Michigan Job Portal. MiTalent.org also contains a number of valuable tools and resources for those exploring new careers.

  • Prepare a resume and compose cover letters using common software applications. Post a resume and search for job openings on-line by accessing the Michigan Talent Bank.
  • Useful website links and printed materials help you explore different careers, examine employment outlook for jobs, and review labor market information.
  • Telephones, fax machines, a copy machine and scanner are on site for job seekers. Reference materials on job search techniques, interviewing hints and writing cover letters are also available.

How to Access Services

Visit the Michigan Works! Livingston Service Center during normal office hours (8 AM to 5 PM Mon-Fri). If you do not live in the Livingston County area and would like to be connected to a Michigan Works! Service Center closer to your home, call 1-800-285-WORKS.

Job Search Skills and Personalized Assistance

Job seekers can work directly with a career counselor to receive individual assistance in job search skills in a variety of areas. Group workshops are also available.
